In terms of turnover, almost 1 030 euros were spent in 2014 on eating out of home per inhabitant. Almost 85% of the total value are generated by the commercial foodservice market.
The meals which are consumed out of home represent around 134 meals and snacks per year per inhabitant, or around 2,6 meals per week.
For the Social Foodservice market, between 2015 and 2025, there will be the same pattern of virtual stagnation for the market as a whole with slight growth in the number of meals served but a more favorable increase in value thanks to higher average meal checks. The highest average annual growth rate that is expected over the period concern particularly the Education sector.
For the Commercial Foodservice market, the market in value is likely to grow from 2015 on, with regular forecasts up to 2020-2025.
